Fantastic route between Riccione and Cattolica

Stunning ride, starting on the coast of Riccione before heading inland and the beautiful Italian countryside.

Long undulating climbs with panoramic views from the top as we took a well earned rest, then the sweeping descents before the next climb.
Refilling our water bottles from the roadside fountains we continued on and we enjoyed coffe and gelato overlooking the sea.
Too quickly it was then time to leave the coast and climb away higher and higher, stopping to take photographs at a medieval village with stunning views over the sea.
The climbing was still not finished for the day as we rose even higher up the mountains, the view improving all the time. Finally we started the long descent into Cattolica, speeding through the town centre before riding along the sea front via cycle paths and small roads expertly guided by Bartolo.
With the last few kilometres left of our journey the group pushed on until we rode under the Riccione banner enjoying the beach views and finally arrived at the Hotel Dory, bike hotel in Riccione, tired but pleased with our days work.
