An interesting route comprising three climbs – Croce 5.8 Km av 2.8%, Montelicciano 6.4 Km av 5.2% and San Marino 3.9 Km av 3.5%.
The final climb to San Marino for a coffee stop rewards you with panoramic views down from a height of 648m of the surrounding countryside and mountains.
Having climbed for 50 Km the remaining 30 Km is nearly all down hill.

This ride included a lunch stop at the Hotel’s Villa 20 Km on from San Marino where Stefano and his team welcomed us with a fantastic BBQ. Accompanying person came to the BBQ in the hotel mini buses. After lunch everyone returned to the hotel, for cyclists a short ride of some 10 Km down hill.

Bartolo was our guide, leading the Cappuccino group for the week. He always ensured that the group stayed together, waiting for any slower riders. Also he ensured everyone was riding safely, giving clear directions and maintaining a steady pace down the mountain roads.

Fellow riders were very friendly and we met people from Finland, Germany, France, Switzerland, England, Canada, United States of America and obviously from Italy.

A very enjoyable holiday with sunny warm weather and exceedingly good food.
Hotel Dory‘s staff were very friendly and helpful.
